19th Birthday..
i turn 19 yesterday. period. no birthday bash or cakes. i dun like birthdays anyway. it makes you think that you are "OLDER" and can't escape from responsibilities. got the day off, so i spent the day waking up late, taking my own sweet time to bathe and sit infront of the laptop playing game. that would be your average geek would be doing on a daily basis. someone called me to sing me a birthday song. how sweet of her. thanks. had dinner at "Anggerik cafe" near Mukminin mosque. so there your typical "birthday" celebration. guess this will be my last bday with family, come to think of it i'm serving the nation on my bday! Geez..

National serivce. that's been the topic lately. since my some of my friends who in the same age group as i am or older are currently serving the nations. one by one leaving us, and what left is some memories we held tightly. 19 years of my life passed so quickly. and soon i'm attaining "adulthood" (mind you i'm still a kid). Oh well too early for me to think about it. Right now, graduation come first.

have you ever wonder, what's the future have in store for you? what are you going to do after school? NS? further studies or straight to work? for the past few years, i've been planning myself till certain stages i want my education level to end. starting from PSLE, i aimed to be in the Express stream and i managed to be in one eventhough grades are not up to satisfaction. every year i made a resolution that i'll study hard to achieve my goals. So from express, i climbed up to Science stream, which i took 2 combined science and pure Bio + A and E maths. realising i couldn't cope with the pressure, i took things for granted. grades dropping, attitude changing. and the end results of prelim were R4/32 R5/41. with this shitty grade, even ITE won't take me in. so i work hard and finally got in Singapore Poly.

got my 2nd choice in Computer and network technology. wanting to catch up with technology i decided to try an engineering course. eventhough my interest lies more on software instead of hardware. Blah blah blah.. and walla.. i'm in the final year doing my course. doing my internship at Siemens Pte Ltd and be back doing some electives and i'm outta this sch!

internship sounds a great deal at first, until i was assigned to a "NEW" environment. i studied computer networking and ended up in a industrial automation department. so what's the big deal here? i have no idea what they doing cos it's totally a new thing for me. PLC here PLC there. commisioning here and commisioning there. Wattafuk! so i decided to give a try and treat this a new challenge for me. some tasks were easy mostly dealing with softwares but for the programming leave to the senior engineers. lately haven given any work so i decided to improve on my photoshop skills. surf the net to look for tutorials. and ya the supervisor, which is the boss of the senior engineers offer me this once in a lifetime opportunity.

guess what? sending me overseas for on the job training in August. it wasnt confirmed yet, but i was excited. me? overseas? which company would want to send an intern to help an engineers there for 2 whole WEEKS?! SIEMENS does. but if it really confirm, should i go? i mean, c'mon, you and one engineer, on the job training to Kuching, Sarawak for 2 GODDAMN WEEKS!! that's longest period of my life to be apart from my family and close friends. should i go? or should i not? it would be good if i go for my future career but i felt like i'm not ready for this travelling thingy. should i?

Hey The lying monk, you have a great blog here. 19th Birthday.. caught my eye and I thought I would put a post on it. I'm looking for help.

The site I have is a home based business site. Its all about, need I say it, working from home. I think people should have the choice to build their own income instead of somebody else’s. Freedom of well being and all of that...anyway I was on your site looking for ways to help my business. I'm really looking for ways of building better rapport between recruits.

Anyways The lying monk thanks for the great blog. I'll just have to carry on my search till I find what I'm looking for. Take care.
